Introduction to Research Methods and Evaluation

Module Description

This module introduces participants to research methods and evaluation, essential for understanding and conducting scientific studies. It covers the basics of empirical research projects, including formulating research questions and hypotheses, designing experiments, and data analysis.

• Data analysis, including descriptive statistics and simple inferential statistics

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

• Interpret and report research results according to current research guidelines

Learning Setting

The module is offered in a blended-learning format, combining video lectures, scripts, and thematic articles with interactive exercises and online forums for discussion and support.

Prerequisites

A first university degree is required for participation.

Technical Requirements

Participants should have access to a computer with an up-to-date operating system, a headset, and a current web browser, as well as a stable internet connection.

Performance Records

To be admitted to the module examination, participants must complete the obligatory online content. Regular participation in online forums is recommended for successful completion of the module.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the module, participants receive a certificate and a supplement detailing the module's content, equivalent to 6 ECTS points.
